Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa was thrilled to participate in World Wetlands Day 2016! Celebrated every year on February 2, World Wetlands Day helps to spread awareness about the importance of wetlands in our community. Livelihoods from fishing, rice farming, travel, tourism, and water provision all depend on wetlands. And, wetlands also host a huge variety of life, protect our coastlines, provide natural sponges against river flooding, and store carbon dioxide to regulate climate change.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa celebrated World Wetlands Day on February 2, 2016!
To honor the day, Breathless Punta Cana joined AMResorts sister properties, Now Larimar, Now Garden, Secrets Royal Beach, Dreams Punta Cana and Dreams Palm Beach and other organizations to assist in cleaning Macao Beach. Declared by UNESCO as one of the best beaches in the Caribbean, Macao Beach is a public beach located 20 to 30 minutes away from most hotels in Punta Cana.
The cleaning started in the early morning and was carried out both in the mangrove area and the beach area. Representatives of each department took part in this important labor, and we would like to recognize our Human Resources Department and Hygiene Quality Manager for helping to organize this amazing effort. Also, a special thanks to all of the volunteers who dedicated their time to this great cause.
