• Alok is the only Brazilian artist to reach 280 million plays on Spotify, where he also became the first Brazilian to appear in the TOP 100 Global.
• He’s also the founder of UP Club Records, a record label specializing in discovering new talent in electronic music.
• Alok describes himself and his music as “explosive.” His name means “light” in Sanskrit.
• On hitting it big: “I have to admit that I’ve been so blessed and lucky with my career. A simple, but meaningful memory one time was when I got a phone call from my dad in Asia. He told me how my track was being played on the radio. Back then, I was still trying to get my music out there and in such a short time, all kinds of people are listening to me.
